If you are age 50+, ready for more, and ready to step into the fullness of your calling, MorningStar’s 50-Plus Ministry is for you!
We meet regularly to affirm and support each other, provide on-ramps to other areas of ministry at MorningStar, and help each other flow in church life. If you know God is calling you to do greater things, 50+ can be the best years of your life.
We are building a 50+ community at MorningStar that supports one another in our callings by connecting, challenging, and committing ourselves to each other and to those around us.
We provide a variety of activities and ways to connect including smaller 50+ Men’s and Women’s Gatherings and larger 50+ gatherings for the entire group. We normally plan one large event per month with smaller events in between.
50+ Events
The 50-Up Club was created to help 50+ men and women connect in new and better ways. We usually have a monthly covered-dish dinner with fellowship and a guest speaker but may occasionally have a game, activity, or movie night. The 50 Up Club currently meets in the Grand Café the third Thursday of each month 6:00 – 8:30 pm.
The 50+ Men’s Gathering currently meets the second and fourth Monday of each month 9:00 – 10:30 am in the Little Theatre for fellowship, discussion of Bible topics, current events, or whatever the Lord leads, followed by prayer.
The 50+ Women’s Gathering currently meets the first and third Monday of each month, also 9:00 – 10:30 am in the Little Theatre, for fellowship, conversation, sharing, discussion, testimonies, guest speakers, snacks and prayer.
Heavenly Hosts is a ministry in which 50-Plusers get to pray for and mentor MSU students, send love gifts, prophesy, or just be there for them. We meet quarterly as a group for lunch & prayer with the students. If you would like to participate in our Heavenly Hosts ministry, please email Donna McCormack at 50Plus@mstarm.org.
