About MorningStar Kids
Jesus taught us to pray, “on earth as it is in heaven.” We want to equip children to connect with their loving Heavenly Father in a tangible way, to hunger for the Word of God, and to operate with the Holy Spirit in the gifts they have been given. The Kingdom of Heaven dwells within them, and we want them to access His power to bring the love of God to earth by His Spirit. We want their season here at MorningStar to bring a hunger for righteousness and a lasting flame for the Lord that will keep growing all their days. By God’s grace, we pray that they will walk in the supernatural love of God and know His goodness all the days of their lives. We are humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve you and your children.
Sunday Services
On Sunday mornings after worship, we have two classes for ages 2–5 and 6–12 on Main Street near the Missions Café. Our goal is for every child to grow in their identity in Christ through prayer, the Word, and the Holy Spirit.
The 2–5-year-old class includes lessons from the Bible, prayer, a related craft, playtime, and a song to help them remember the Scripture verses.
The 6–12-year-old class includes memory verses, a Bible lesson, an activity or game, prayer, and activation time. Every week, they open their Bibles and read as they are able. We give them activations to hear from the Lord and walk in His gifts through love.
MorningStar Kids Team and Safety
Safety is a top priority. We operate with a two-worker minimum in each classroom at all times. All adult volunteers have completed abuse prevention training and passed background checks. The Child Safety Policy manual we use to train our volunteers is available at check-in for anyone to view.
