Ways to Serve
Every believer has a part to play in the Kingdom of God. The following is a list of just some of the ways you can serve at MorningStar Fellowship Church.
Prophetic Teams: Prophetic teams are designed to teach and train people in interpersonal prophetic ministry. Most of this training takes place in the context of small-group activations and hands-on ministry. MorningStar Prophetic teams minister to new visitors on Sunday morning and to thousands each year at conferences and through social media. Since we are a team-based ministry, we rely on prophetic captains to facilitate teaching, training, and activation.
Dream Teams: Dreams are one of the most common ways God speaks. Whether you’re a dreamer, want to be, or just want to learn more about dream interpretation, this could be the perfect fit. Dream interpretation can be a powerful and effective ministry tool to bring strategy, direction, encouragement, and healing. Our teams meet Mondays at 7:00 pm in the Little Theatre to discuss, interpret, and pray through dreams. We also minister during conferences and local outreaches.
Healing Teams: Healing Teams are faith-filled, anointed, and enthusiastic men and women who know Jesus Christ still heals, restores, and delivers today. Our mission is to bring the healing and restorative touch of God from the heavenly realm into people’s everyday lives. Each Healing Team ministers monthly on an assigned Sunday with their Team Captain, at special services, outreach events, and through personal phone ministry.
Freedom Team: The Freedom Team ministers emotional healing, inner healing, and deliverance in personal, confidential 90-minute appointments. Our members are mature individuals with a heart to see people set free. We ask for our members to have experience and be trained in inner healing/deliverance by a recognized ministry. They must also have a willingness to be trained in MorningStar Freedom Teams’ methodologies.
Welcome Team: The Welcome Team is a group of individuals dedicated to making everyone who comes through the doors of MorningStar feel welcomed, accepted, and loved. The Welcome Team is trained to pass out bulletins and other info with a friendly and welcoming smile, and to sit with first-time visitors and answer questions. Visitor Coordinators must be knowledgeable of MorningStar.
Usher Team: The usher team consists of men and women who have a heart to serve before, during, and after services and conferences. Each usher serves in one section of the Atrium. We joyfully serve the Lord and His people, while exhibiting a welcoming attitude. We consider this a personal calling and commitment. The only requirements are to be self-motivated, trustworthy, and ready to serve in a positive manner wherever needed.
Worship Team: MorningStar Worship exists to serve the Lord through worship and spontaneous praise. We value the lifestyle of worship, musical excellence, prophetic flow in corporate worship times and writing original worship songs. Our worship team members are volunteers who are committed to serving the local church with humility. Required musical skills include basic music theory knowledge, playing to a click track, instrument proficiency, and ability to read a number chart.
Prayer & Intercession: We equip and release Spirit-led Intercessors to partner with heaven in bringing God‘s kingdom to earth. We have Daybreak worship and prayer sets 6-9 a.m. weekdays when prayer teams focus on interceding for government, families, etc. and more! We welcome intercessors, worship musicians, vocalists, artists, dancers, flaggers, and anyone interested in developing their prophetic gifts in the area of worship and prayer. For more information, email bjvc@mstarm.org.
Kingdom Arts: Our art team can be seen most Sundays painting by the platform, and their works adorn our walls. Those involved will enjoy ministering to the Lord through creative expression in both worship and outreach. You will be alerted when there are outreach or creative opportunities and will also have opportunities to serve as an artist during a worship set in the Bob Jones Vision Center and in our Atrium during services and conferences.
Media Team: Anyone interested in operating cameras or lyrics will be trained and scheduled. No experience necessary. This is open to all ages 12 to adult. If you enjoy managing deadlines, collaborating with different departments, and ensuring accurate information dissemination, this role is perfect for you. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort with technology are beneficial.
Bookstore Team: Do you have a passion for books and reading? Joining the Bookstore Team offers a unique opportunity to engage with books, assist customers, and create an inviting atmosphere in our store. If you have a love of books, enjoy people, and thrive in a dynamic environment, the Bookstore Team is perfect for you! No qualifications necessary, just a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn. Cash handling and retail experience are a plus.
MorningStar Kids (ages 2-12): The kids at MorningStar have fun, worship God, learn God’s Word and voice, pray for others, prophesy, learn different facets of ministry, and memorize Scripture. Children get to lead worship, speak, lead other children, hear the gospel, receive Jesus and the Holy Spirit. This is not childcare; this is training our children in the way they should go.
Youth on Fire (Ages 13-17): We exist to IGNITE a passion for Jesus Christ in the hearts of youth and EMPOWER them with the knowledge of God to TRANSFORM our communities, culture, and world through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our vision is to see a world transformed by youth who are passionate about Jesus and become “atmosphere changers” who carry the fire of revival to the nations.
Stay. Pray. Engage.: is an exchange program for missions-minded people. If you are a mature adult ready to share your work experience and skills in exchange for housing, meals, and a spiritually rich environment, SPE is for you! Work assignments range from housekeeping, janitorial positions, administrative, IT, teaching, and many other rolls. An online application with references must be completed to be considered for the SPE program.
Heritage International Ministries: HIM is the hotel, hospitality, and events arm of MorningStar. We can always use help with housekeeping, maintenance, events, landscaping, missions cafe, and our safety team. Please reach out if you would like to serve the Lord and the people from all over the world who come to the MorningStar campus.
The Oak Initiative: exists to promote ethical and righteous governmental policy and legislation and educate the church on key political issues that have the potential to change our daily lives. This education mobilizes the church to make a difference, vote, participate in key policy hearings and issues, represent, and engage in life-changing policies in every level of government.
Ministry Administration: Numerous departments at MorningStar could use your help with administration. If you have admin, communications, and organizational skills, please let us know.
MorningStar Kingdom Business Administration: is a fellowship of Christians engaged in their marketplace calling to, from, and for Christ Jesus. We are strong in the prophetic, unashamedly deliberate in our faith, and passionate about our work. We are ministers and evangelists in the business sector, administering business the Kingdom way. We disciple, ordain, and equip leaders, employers, and employees for marketplace ministry and efficiency.
Partners: Partners’ volunteers have unique opportunities to serve the MorningStar community. Volunteers tell us they love serving in Partners where they can meet many people during conferences and form lifetime connections. We have tasks for everyone. Volunteering in Partners is always a good starting point if you do not know where else to serve.
